Sea Air

By the end of the day we were shattered, it must be the sea air !  We are so enjoying this coastline that we have probably clocked up more steps than any other holiday before.
Today we walked the old town of Tenby which was a an absolute delight. Probably better for the fact that the children are back to school. The day started cloudy and so we left wearing a second layer that was soon off and being carried as the sun broke through again. IThe main blip is of St Catherine's Island, it's 19th century fort was built to defend against a feared French invasion (without quarantine !)
I have again swamped the extras with more views along the way. The first being a view over the harbour wall to include a lot of rusty chain and rope that I can never resist the old lifeboat station which I remember seeing on Grand Design when it was converted into a unique home, now holiday home. The last 2 extras are to recall where w journey onto Skinkle Haven coastal walk, but that stepped incline was the point we decided to turn around and go back. Finally a long beach stroll and paddle for the weary feet at a rather quaint coastal hamlet called Amroth.
