And I’m telling this story...

captains broad log day sextus

We woke to pouring rain, but not as high winds as had been promised.

We sat and contemplated the days sail and wondered what would happen....

We sailed leisurely along the quiet part of the broads and then we were over taken and washed by some knobs who were travelling at 10mph - you could physically see the damage to the banks happening. That set Captain off into a strop and I was almost
Ready for driving the boat back to port.

But we carried on, ignored the rest of the knobs and got to our Destination; Thrune.

Look carefully at the boats... see how close they are; you go up; you do a three point turn... you come back.

We parked up ... we sat and chilled... we watched other people very carefully. Everyone was coming in for the night.

We were three quarters of the way up.... not a chance in hell of reversing. The boat was longer than the channel was wide. Two
Power yachts in front of us.

Our meal was lovely; washed down with wine and beer.

And all the while, at the back of our minds...

How the hell were we going to get out of here?
