The Sound Of Music

Had a bit of retail therapy today and spent time rummaging through my favourite record shop in Glasgow. FOPP started life in 1981 as a one-man stall in Glasgow. The name comes from the title of a song by The Ohio Players on their 1975 album Honey. Came home with Rufus Wainwright's new album "Unfollow The Rules"

Staying with the Glasgow theme my album of the day is "Frantic" by local band Gun. One of life's great mysteries why they didn't have more impact on the music scene. A great rock band live, saw them supporting The Stones on their Urban Jungle Tour and a couple of years ago blowing Black Star Riders off the stage, come across much better live than on record
