Splish Splosh

The ladies who lunch have been back on duty. Some normality is returning to our lives. After doing the school run I dropped Grandad at home and he had a day off. Grandma D, Louie and I went off to the Headland and did a mega walk. We sat in Croft Gardens and ate fish and chips with our fingers ( sanitised before we started of course ) and then went along to the Block Sands. We both had fond memories of long Summer holidays which were always sunny playing on the beach and in the paddling pool. The pool was empty but Louie managed to find 2 large puddles and marched up and down shouting "Splish Splosh!" He was soaked but having so much fun. We decided we might as well go onto the beach and get covered in sand too. He absolutely loved it. We then picked Maddie up from school and whisked her home for a quick snack before Mammy collected her for netball at 4 p.m. While we were at the beach my WhatsApp pinged with pictures of Freddie on his first full day in Reception Class. We have all survived the first week back and everyone seems relieved that routine and our hectic lives have resumed.
