Row River Trail Group Ride

One of my favorite scenic bicycle rides is the Row River Trail that borders the Dorena Lake reservoir near Cottage Grove.
Today our seniors group ride made the most of this wonderful "rails to trails" gem by riding a bit further to Wildwood Falls.
Sasquatch have been reported in the area, so one must be ready to pedal fast when necessary.
I was very gratified to have a helpful hand on the air pump and a cheering section as I repaired my bike's flat rear tire.
An interesting bit of trivia: the scenes in the "Stand By Me" movie where the boys are walking along railroad tracks discussing super-heroes was filmed on this rail line before the tracks were removed to make the trail for pedestrians and cyclists.
