St Abbs Head

This morning we had a lovely walk at St Abbs Head with CyclopsJnr's Great Uncle and Aunt.

We went to the lighthouse, and climbed down to the foghorn which was made by his Great-Great-Grandfather's company, Steven & Struthers.  We know his ancestor visited personally at least once from letters saved during wartime in which his visit is discussed.  We also have a family connection to the Stevenson's who originally built the lighthouse!

We had lunch together in the sunshine afterwards, before parting ways.

Cyclops and CyclopsJnr went on to explore St Abbs Harbour, then took a bike ride to the lighthouse near their campsite.
