All systems go....

A dry morning with a breeze so got the combine contractor to make a start on a field of spring barley .
I left wee brother carting in grain while I headed off down the road to bale straw there. Once I’d done what was cut yesterday I left Ross on carting bales home before the natives took a liking to them.
Headed back up the road to bale up the end rigs in this field then took over carting in grain.
We had the field finished by 8.30 pm, just as a few spots of rain started . According to the in cab computer there was 114 tons cut from 40 acres , so just shy of 3 tons an acre. Not bad considering the season !
