Historical boundary stone

Until 1795 there was a three-country point on the spot where this stone stands.  After the Partage tract, the borders of: Spanish Netherlands, (Rolduc, Bocholtz), Duchy of Gulik (Heydener Land) and Free City in the German Empire (Aachen) came together.

There were eagle stones in a large circle around the free state of Aachen once. Only twenty of them are left. This stone is special. It was cut from the very rare (sand) stone, not found in the nearby environment.

I got this information from the Internet.  I saw that it is an old stone, so I took a picture of it.  The image of the eagle is no longer very visible.  Unfortunately.
