The Canal ......

Late afternoon we decided to drive Little B the short distance to the canal.  We rarely come here, in fact over 37 years I've been here less than half a dozen times.  We made our way from he car park across the open ground, there was a wedding reception, a birthday party and countless groups of people who had set up drinks and eats.  Not a whole lot of social distancing going on here!  This sticks in the craw somewhat as our two local pubs require booking and time limit on seats outside for just a drink!  Whenever I pass the pub gardens they are always empty!  Seems you can't just drop into a pub garden for a quiet drink but you can join the throngs of folks enjoying the canal and grounds.  Anyway, we walked for about 35 minutes and then turned back as it was becoming a bit monotonous with just the water and not much else ..... on our return journey, Little B was almost running back and we got back to our starting point at a fair clip!  He's a creature of habit and didn't like the canal clearly!
