Message in a bottle

Today Tom and I went down to Sydney to visit Bob's dad (and Tom's Grandfather) Dick who was today quite unwell and very tired so it was a very short visit.

Afterwards, I took Tom to see the Anish Kapoor exhibition at the MCA. Here is Memory, a 24 ton Cor-Ten steel sculpture which completely fills one of the MCA's large-scale galleries on Level 3. Resembling a structure somewhere between a submarine and a rocket, Memory cannot be viewed from a single point, so for those that wish (and most don't) you can scramble behind. I have gone part way in, but today Tom went right the way around, at one point his 6.5" frame flat on the ground and for a couple of metres, sliding along the floor. I don't think there would have been many visitors that would have gone in as far as he did.

In the farthest and most inaccessible corner this is what he found.

How strange.

And telling, considering our upsetting visit to his Grandfather just an hour or so before.

Is it a message from Anish??

Whoever it was from, I felt strangely comforted.
