Captain Rob

We were both walking around the block, he with his dog and me with a bag of groceries. His cap and face and little white dog made me think on instant of RinTinTin's captain Haddock.... so I asked if I could picture him; he was flattered and told me he'd always thought he looked like captain Rob... another comic's captain that is.
