Blackberry feast

Monday is our day off but we were still awake at 6 a.m. No chance of resetting our bodyclocks now. However, we did have a lie in and had a cup of tea in bed watching the News before embarking on the day at a slow pace. That did not last long and we were soon getting on with jobs. We changed the beds and while we were doing that we decided to empty the airing cupboard and have a good sort out. It looks much tidier now! I had all the bedding washed and was relieved when the rain stopped and it was all soon dry after a good blow in the wind. We even managed a few rays of sun this afternoon so we wandered down to Dragonland. I did spot 2 Hawkers as we walked along beside the beck but they did not stop. We picked a pound of blackberries on our stroll and I was delighted when several Speckled Woods came to lay claim to some of them before we picked them. Today had a very Autumnal feel to it. I am about to make a massive blackberry and apple crumble with lashings of custard for tea.
