Finding Hitchcock in Deal.

Every time i have a wonder around Deal, come across something have not noticed before. This time it was down Dolphin St. The bust of Seymour Hicks above the door of one of the houses. Hicks was born in the Channel Is,and later moved to London to become, with his wife, actor, manager, playwright and producer of plays and films. He was the very first British actor to visit the troops on the frontlines with his shows in 1914.His films included The Lambeth Walk, Busmans Holiday. In 1923 he gave a young Alfred Hitchcock his first directing role with Always Tell Your Wife.
The house(in extras) used to have the Living Museum for Hicks inside, but its all closed up now. I think the bust was presented to the house by the Royal Acadamy. Anyway nice to see. Hicks died in 1949. How the memory of him got to Deal , I have no idea.
