Countdown

Slept better last night thank goodness. Relatively quiet day with a couple of meetings about widely different things first thing, then a chance to do some planning and writing before another large scale briefing meeting in the afternoon (tricky to chair it when I had to keep leaping up and down to talk to the plumber who’d come to sort the Saniflo - he’s not happy with how it’s been installed so I worry there will need to be remedial work done...I’ll worry about that another day). People were actually quieter and calmer than last time we met.... hopefully I was able to give reassurance and focus on the positives but who knows (once again, without many cameras on its very hard to gauge, and of course it’s possible that the quiet was about greater panic).
Dashed over to the florist to collect the flowers I’d ordered....similar to the sort of thing A was planning for her bouquet. I got this big arrangement and then several smaller ones (extra) to put in the bedrooms and bathrooms to welcome them and make it feel special.
Once they arrived we settled in and gave N the tour since he hadn’t seen the flat since I’d had the work done, then decided what to do this evening and the rest of the week. Think the plans are going well. Dithered between BBQ and Thai for supper. So nice to have them here at last...now we can start to enjoy this week!
