Point and Shoot

September meditation

Over the shed roof, the grey sky looms. Every day I glance at the estuary and check the tide. I hear loud knocks as the neighbour has a boiler replaced, today's morning alarm. Six months have passed since we started to take the new virus seriously. Photographs from past travels have cheered me up, but also the joy of living by a river. Trees shade my small garden by the pond. The sheep are elsewhere and the sun will emerge.
