I popped out to the post office during a very brief break between meetings. I was struck by the fact that this bin has a unique identifier such that anyone can call the council (MBC) and report a problem. That would probably not have been a thing in 1994 and would have been unheard of in 1894, the beginning of the centenary that the bin celebrates.

During one of the meetings the panel for the final plenary included two guys I know from my previous work in prisons - it was smashing to see them and know that they are doing well, one is now out and working and the other is very close to the gate.
