Tollcross Winter Gardens

I've Blipped this several times - this is the second since it fell into this shocking state of disrepair.

They don't know yet whether or not it will be saved but its been like this for over a year. Apparently it needs a lot of money and the park officials haven't been told if it will be forthcoming.

The irony is that just a stones throw from here they are spending a fortune on a state of the art Swimming faciltiy for next year's Commonwealth Games. Its due to complete in the next couple of months. Now instead of paying off all the workers would it not be an idea to keep them on for a few months and get them to work on restoring the Winter Gardens? Yes I know its easier to say than do and there is still the funding to be found. But it would be good to see it restored.
