'Those red-eyed people, coming here fixing our drains, looking after our elderly, who do they think they are? I mean look at them, look at their eyes: red, not like proper pale blue eyes. Probably communists or foreigners I reckon, if not, you know, gypsies. We don't need their sort round here.'
