Close Companions

My little car had a very colicky day yesterday so had to go for a sleepover at the Peugeot garage.

GK's Volvo, on the other hand, got to go out as far as the Burj Al Arab while I did another day supply teaching and then on to Times Square while GK hunted down some 'techy bits' to do with HI Fi and stereo amplifiers!

I think said Volvo actually planned this meeting in the carpark!

I also think the Jaguar shares the same DNA when you look closely at the number plates!

I'm sure they had much to discuss while we were otherwise engaged in the Mall.

Its always an interesting excercise to wonder what cars would 'chat' about when left side by side.

Would it be their aspirations, or their histories.....their lineage or their confrontations and consequent indentations. Maybe their spare part surgery, their gastric rumblings, their fluid intake preferences, the new fashionable tints in their windows, colour palettes when choosing interior furnishings. Perhaps more mundane things like storage capacity, horse power, tyre tread thickness, hub cap design, even wax and wash finishes!

I would like to think they muse more on their exotic journeys real or imagined and like all storytellers everywhere, weave magic and mystery through their webs of intrigue...each trying to better the other!!!

You can almost see it in their expressions!! These two are chuckling over something!!!
