Scone ou Scone?

Now Sunday was just lovely, if very very rainy. Oh, and my umbrella decided to give up the ghost and kept deflating...but in the end that was more funny than annoying!

So Chris and I decided to visit the Sunday morning market, in the pouring rain...and although an experience everyone should definitely have, probably best not to do it in the rain! After a rather sodden wander we ended up chez Kendra, and spent the entire afternoon chatting and listening to music. Nothing better, I would say!

After a quick slap-up meal (cheers Kendra!) we wandered down to Dolly's to meet up with Thibaud, Meg, Becky, Shwetabh and Pawel. Being majority English, we all had cream teas! Yes, that is right; with scones and jam and cream and tea with milk. And this is the lovely Meg, demonstrating perfectly how to be mother when pouring tea. Well every now and then you just have to be English! Was so nice to see everyone, and well worth the trip down in the rain. So, dangerous question: scones with jam then cream, or scones with cream then jam?

When we left, it rain had still not ceased...I mean, I know I can't control the weather, but wouldn't it be lovely if every once in a while when a visitor came somewhere it could be sunny? Here's to hoping for when other friends come to visit the weather will be better!
