Dunstanburgh Castle

Looking across beautiful Embleton Bay to the ruins of Dunstanburgh castle. This castle was built on the remains of Iron age settlement in 1320s and extensively modernised in 1380s (so even back then we were messing about and updating our homes!).
The building was never really lived in nor did it take part in any wars or raids.

WiFi in our hotel room is dire and l have to go down to bar to get any reception so will not comment for a few days.
