Pick me up

Huge day. My lawn mower man couldn’t come, nothing for it but to do it myself. Thought I will just do it in sections with breaks in between. The mower had news for me the off switch was playing up and wouldn’t turn off so had to keep mowing til it ran out of petrol. A break for lunch and a rest and at it again, same thing by the time I had finished I was totally exhausted.
Had a shower rang my good friend around the corner and she came round and we drank this lovely bottle of wine and felt much better. 80 year olds definitely shouldn’t take on that amount of lawn. Mower away to be overhauled so next week should be a better story
