Santis

Today, unbelievably, we were able to do our planned weekend away trip with the village wind band. 19 of us set off at 6.40 am for a weekend of eating, drinking, playing, walking and general merriment. This was taken from the Schnuggenbock in Appenzellerland, looking over to Santis. We had a lovely break here, then did a “farm olympics” which was good fun. There were some lovely animals and then we had an old fashioned farmers lunch. Next stop was the Appenzeller distillery, and of course spirit tasting. We stayed the night in Wildhaus, but it turned chilly and overcast. Not too bad, in bed by 2am.
