I had a couple of blips in the camera but watching the news we wondered why politicians had ears of wheat in their pockets.

Turns out it is back British farming day. As it was too late and dark to visit a nearby wheat field (with or without a prime minister in waiting running through it) I reverted to this. It is a box I bought in the Soviet Union in the 70s when I lived there for 3 months.

I was in Minsk and it has been somewhat strange in recent weeks to see the awful events unfolding there.

We do try and buy Scottish or British produce wherever possible. But it requires careful checking. One week sweet corn or sugar snap peas can come from England. The next from a Peru or Kenya.
