Juvenile Gannet

Another cycle to Scapa to try and find/photo a ringed tern. I did manage to do so, but, as pretty much expected, the number on the ring wasn't legible for all my attempts via photoshop. Blowy down there with 7 sandwich terns, 6 common terns, a few kittiwake and other types of gull, some gannets and guillemots. There were about 8 lions-mane jellyfish by the pier. The gannet is this year's and maybe from the colony on Noup Head, Westray or even the new colony on Marwick Head.
