Keeping my fingers crossed

I recently received a very generous Amazon voucher and decided to use part of it to buy a new bird feeder.

It's quite tall so have just blipped the crucial part. The little perches are weight sensitive so if any large bird or squirrel stands on the perch it drops down closing the feeding aperture ..... time will tell. I know squirrels can hold on to the top of the feeder and then hang upside down while they nibble .... hope this feeder  is more than a few inches too tall.

There are still plenty of berries around so I'll wait for a couple of weeks before putting out the new feeder.
