Simply Red

Up to Sutton Coalfield for a shot of the/only  male red-backed shrike around.

He spent his time in a tree so a shot on the ground actually was more tricky as he landed for only seconds. Obviously I was not a serious birder (the lack of camo head to foot obviously gave that away)  as they sniggered quietly at me leaving. I'd got my 300 shots and was happy  - hope they were even as fractionally happy with theirs!
