Progress

Good progress!

All the pots of established and young bulbs have been tipped out and cleaned.   More than half are back in soil, either in pots or in the garden.  The rest are in paper bags, sorted by type and final destination, lots and lots of paper bags!   More iinteresting than a blip of paper bags, Colchicum montanum, tiny compared to yesterday's giant, is the first to flower in the pots in the cold frames.   Eye level to slugs and snails, the flowers don't always last long in the garden but it is hardy.   Found my first snail in the frames today ..... I can feel a battle about to commence.  Not sure which is worse, that or the plague of incontinent cats currently soiling around the sand bed, itself now protected with netting, sticks and sprigs of holly!!
