A hidden inn

The damp misty rain that sometimes dogs the Cornish coast put an end to our plans to walk the coast path to Port Isaac. Instead we made our way inland and followed a tractor and trailer down some narrow lanes until we came to this inn. The enterprising man with the horse and cart was offering rides. We visited the 15th century church next door with its wagon ceilings and ancient wood carvings.
Later we joined the large throng of tourists walking the narrow streets and secluded harbour of Port Isaac. A favourite haunt of ours. Sadly the crowds and covid restrictions made this visit not so enjoyable. I would have preferred to arrive on foot via the coastal path from Pirt Quin.
Grateful for beautiful Cornwall from a misty view, for food in a cafe in Port Isaac ( having queued for 45 minutes!) and for time spent with Suzy.
