Willow warbler

This morning F and I went to the hillfort to try to spot the yellowhammers that I saw the other day.  There was no sign of them but we did see a small group of willow warblers in a hawthorn tree. I think that they might have been a family group, some had minimal eye stripes that we thought were probably juveniles.

It's amazing that such tiny birds can fly all the way to their wintering grounds in central Africa.
