A rather unexciting day of loft clearance .... but it was great fun coming across all sorts of stuff we’d forgotten about. And finding them brought back a whole load,of memories. When I first started advisory work I organised a children’s festival. Gazillions of children attended. We had so much fun in the cathedral with gigantic slides, sumo wrestling, football cages, graffiti walls, messy craft, giant banana splits, dance, drama, and the largest loaf of bread for children’s communion (thank you Bishop John Gladwin). It really was a great big feast.
