Butterflies

This jigsaw has 28 different butterflies in a background pastoral scene. It was fun to start with the butterflies (after the edges!!) and then fit the scenery around them.
I was fascinated by the number of butterflies - it is actually called 'Butterflies of Europe' but all except two - Scarce Swallowtail; bottom left - and the Spanish Festoon; yellow and black! Can be found in the British Isles.
At the moment there are so few different sorts on the fields - today I only saw Small Whites- but I have seen Peacocks and Small Tortoiseshells too recently. As a child I remember Red Admirals, Chalk Blues and Orange Tips. I wonder if blippers have seen many other ones - particularly in other countries? Butterflies are so beautiful!!
