Caucasian Crosswort
The ever-beautiful, but slightly rampant, Caucasian Crosswort - a species that flowers in early summer, but is having a very welcome repeat bloom this September. I tend to prefer the flowerhead as it's opening out - with an almost perfect circle of pink stars.
A significant part of the day was spent walking round the village of Peakirk, firming up ideas to include in its nature recovery plan. Interesting stuff, but now I have to write up all the notes!
