Woodland Gold

Searching for something to photograph in the woodland can be challenging because there's so many branches and leaves in the way, even if a subject stands out. After looking for some time I found this patch of dried grass making an interesting texture and tones as it lay across a few branches. Finding just the right patch was the trick, with branches running in diagonals, the leaf just so and those whitish twigs.

I managed to time my excursion between showers, although fortunately no wind today, it was very dull leading to long exposures. Maybe a polariser would have helped reduce the glare a touch, but I rarely remember to take one.
