We knew the forecast was rain. Carstramon Woods (a Scottish Wildlife Trust reserve, as I continue my attempt to visit them all in my tenure as a Trustee) didn't provide much shelter, the drops simply gathering in the enormous beech trees set to reinvigorate their downward trajectory with more mass with which to soak.

But.

This wee corner of our country does look rather fab. To think we're only 'really' here because our misanthropic nature couldn't find somewhere available on the Isles (our usual holiday haunt, cancelled in May/June) that was as removed from people as the Secret Studio we're staying in this week....
