Perfect day

Today was mostly spent on the beach, thankfully my ankle has stopped hurting and I didn't even think about paracetamol. 

We found a hidden set of steps down to the beach which maximised our time on the sand heading towards the pier and after picking up coffee and cake at North Sea Coffee we walked on towards East Runton for a beach picnic and an afternoon of sea gazing and book reading. 

This photo is late afternoon when we came back to 'our' side of the pier (getting champagne and raspberry ice cream along the way) for more mooching before heading back to pack.

The trip was exactly what we needed.
