Barley Field

Out walking with our friends again this morning and I planned a six mile plus trek around the local area using some familiar footpaths and others we haven't been on before.  As it was scheduled to be a hot day we left at just after 9.30 a.m. and got back three hours later.

At one point we had to cross through the middle of a maize field, which must have been nearly 7 feet tall, and it was just as well it wasn't being cropped or we wouldn't have been seen.

The combine harvester has been up and down this field creating a stripey pattern.  Many thanks to SueJay50 for hosting the mono Monday challenge.
