Autumn cleaning

My Blipfoto today shows the interior of our local church. I haven't been here for six months now but this morning I joined a few folk from the village to give it a thorough clean and disinfect it ready for opening for a short service on Sunday, the first one since Lockdown back in March.
The church was built in 1905 and the interior is in the style of the Arts and Crafts movement. It has a simple beauty and is a very peaceful place to sit and contemplate. In pre-pandemic times it would be open every day for anyone to spend time there but sadly, that can no longer happen as we do not have the resources to employ someone to keep it clean and disinfected. It will be open for a short act of worship on a Sunday once a month for the foreseeable future or until Government guidelines say otherwise.
