I'm saddened...

...by what is taking place here. This is Basil Spence's Genetics Building dating from 1961 which formed a group with his Virology Building which previously occupied the foreground. The buildings were not to everyone's taste but their demolition speaks of philistinism, neglect, poor maintenance and a lack of imagination as to potential future uses.
