Crab apple

As part of our Government grant, we allocated some money towards the garden.  Mostly I am very disappointed with the work considering the money it cost - but this one garden bed is lovely.  Probably because I put more thought into designing it, rather than leave it to the not so skilled landscaper. 

We've planted a row of three crab apple trees (just coming into flower as you can see), under planted with lambs ears, sedum and similar ground covers.

Before the bed was covered with a creeping fern, which didn't really add anything to the area.  Now, it's going to look lovely in the Spring, perfect for the wedding season.
