Two’s company

Work started on the stonework in the house today. Loads of old surfacing now lying on the ground. The walls look like a hoard of angry, stone munching insects have been having a go at it. Kinda freaky seeing it like that, but it will be good to have it done before the winter comes in. 

As a result the dogs didn’t get into the garden today. So, while the man amused Moose, I took the big one for an extra walk. We went up over the fields, tried out a bit of parallel walking (which didn’t end well) then went down onto the old railway line. Not another soul to be seen until we got back to the road. 

Plenty happening when we did get into the village. The guys on the building site came over to talk to the dog. Then a neighbour came out and to give him a huge biscuit. That’s my two households for the day though. 

Took the picture of the fern growing up through the base of a bench built by the same neighbour. A little bit of light on an otherwise grey day.
