Easy Day

Today was mostly an admin day but i spotted a group of fungi growing in grass under an Oak when I walked to the PO with Reggie.

I think it’s the Humpback Brittlegill (Russula caerulea). Admittedly it is not humped but it is aging. It does however have a good purplish red brown cap, cream gills and a white stem. The extra is older, so the colour has faded but the gills show clearly.

Had a really good chat at an explorer leader planning meeting. We will try again with the explorers and hope they socially distance better now than they did earlier in the summer.
