Blue on blue

Chicory - Cichorium intybus

Not seen this round here before, but noticed it a few days ago on the far side of the football club and this morning went back for it.  Such a staggering blue, as was the sky.

Apart from this, a substantial part of the day was spent beginning to sort and clear the rubbish underneath where the shed stood: whole bricks and half bricks, huge flintstones and lumps of concrete, thick ivy roots, from next door, thin whiplashes of climbing rose, ditto (and yes, I do have rose-proof gloves, but the need was for gauntlets) rotting wood, empty snail shells, old rats' nests, broken glass and china.  But at least now I can see what needs to be done.
