Wound up in Wexford

Rowan berries

The rowan tree in our garden is one of the few trees that were here when we moved in.  It is quite close to the pond - so perhaps its roots were disturbed during the construction, because we have been disappointed in previous years - we would see a few flowers, but almost no berries.

This year, there were many more flowers, and now we have a decent crop of berries.

It's been a rather lovely day, plenty of sunshine, some wind.  W has mowed most of the lawn, and tended to the pond.  We need to consider whether we can rig up a net over the pond to catch the autumn leaves this year.

I did a huge pile of ironing this morning, and then got my flute out for the first time in almost three weeks.  I was a bit rusty!
