Colourful corner.

The two fuchsias go on and on, putting out these huge blooms. They are very thirsty and need plenty of water every evening. They have been such a delight this summer.
They are either side of this area that used to be a pond. Daughter Anna created the shape, she was very artistic, and for many years we enjoyed the fish, the frogs and the newts. But then with the arrival of little grandsons we were afraid of accidents so it was filled in. It gives me a lot of pleasure in its present form. Pots can be moved about for a change of scene, and in the spring the back wall is covered with a clematis Montana. There are many odd souvenirs on display to add interest.
We had lunch outside today. It was breezy but warm. Sadly someone nearby was using a very noisy machine and it was so bad it drove us indoors. Let’s hope there will still be days when we can dine outside.
