Plane trees

Glorious sunshine this morning which made the shadows seem even darker.
I guess these plane trees were planted when the road was tarred, and the trees have grown so much the roots have raised the pavements. Most pedestrians walk on the road to avoid tripping on the uneven pavements. This is particularly unwise when the students are around as several lecture theatres are on he right. Not this year though as all lectures will be on-line!
