Windmill

I snapped Chinnor Windmill on my way back from Waitrose this morning.  It's a flour mill that was originally built in 1789.  It was demolished in 1967 for housing.  There is a lot of new housing in Chinnor from the 60s to the present day, which swamps the old village.  However this site was never built on and the parts of the windmill were carefully stored.  Over the last few years the windmill has been steadily rebuilt by a team of dedicated volunteers.  What a labour of love!  In a normal year it's the centre for lots of village activities over the summer, and I am sure it will be again in future years.
