Rural Warwickshire

Having seen that today's forecast was good we decided not to waste it and planned a walk. We had been told that the Heart of England Forest had some good trails, and although on our doorstep, we've never been there. At the moment I'd call it a collection of woods rather than a forest, but give it a few years.
The weather was even better then expected and we both soon regretted not having worn shorts and a sunhat. The chosen route took us down to Coughton Court where, not having booked, we couldn't go in for elevenses.
At the rather notorious ford, where most winters someone will get stuck, we watched a few drivers gingerly drive through about two inches of water.
After a little difficulty we found the start of the return path to the car which was HOT but soon cooled and it wasn't a long drive. Home for a late lunch.
