Gardening

As Lottie and I walked through the village this morning, I noticed that all the gardens were full of Red Admirals. The warm weather must have triggered a late flush of them. Lovely to see them on just about every type of flower! One of those days when you are spoilt for a blip.

Lots of tidying up, cutting down things long past flowering, harvesting the last of the peas and some more of the carrots and picking three huge bunches of sweetpeas.

Took some up to Ruth, who's eyesight is pretty poor now but she could make out the bright colours of the sweetpeas, and enjoy their scent.

Strange how things turn out - a few days ago I mentioned mending in a blip, then today Ruth asked me if I could repair her cat's duvet!
