Fly Agaric
We walked in Heathhall Woods today and saw lots of fly agaric mushrooms growing under silver birch trees.
An interesting fact - their spots are remnants of the white veil of tissue that first enclosed the young mushroom, and are sometimes washed off by the rain. woodlandtrust.org.uk
